Dear friend,

Our Statewide Charitable Day of Action was a massive success.

County parties across Kentucky organized food drives on Saturday, collecting thousands of pounds of food for families facing hunger. Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman joined volunteers in Lexington, saying "We have Kentucky public schools doing more than the most powerful government in the world to make sure people aren't going hungry."

While Trump tried to prevent SNAP payments from reaching 600,000 hungry Kentuckians, Democrats were packing boxes and showing up for our neighbors.

The work isn't over. County parties have more food drives planned for the coming weeks. Find upcoming food drives in your county here.

Thank you to every volunteer, every donor, and every county party that made Saturday a success. You’re making such a huge difference.

Thank you,

Kentucky Democratic Party

P.S. As KDP Chair Colmon Elridge said, "While the Trump administration was ordering states to take grocery money away from hungry families, Kentucky Democrats were packing up boxes of food. It’s clear which party is truly putting working people first.” If you can, chip in $10 to help us support the county parties doing this vital work.
