The Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether Trump’s use of emergency powers to impose global tariffs is lawful.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he expects the Court to uphold the policy. But if it strikes it down, he told reporters the administration would use other tariff laws that allow 50 percent on other countries. “You should assume that they’re here to stay,” Bessent said.
