On November 10, 1775, at the Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, the U. S. Marine Corps was born. From the first beach landing at the Battle of Nassau against the British in 1776 to humanitarian missions, protecting U.S. embassies or often being the first to hit the ground during U.S. military operations, the Marines do it all to serve our nation.
