It’s up to us to stop it

A Women's Place

John, I wish I could come to you saying the GOP cared about the government reopening and that I’m able to get back to helping the American people on the floor of Congress. But unfortunately, I can’t.

Even if the latest Senate deal passes, the GOP has created the longest federal government shutdown in modern American history. And instead of working to reopen it alongside their Democratic peers — the House GOP is still hiding from their responsibilities.

Families gone hungry as SNAP benefits have been paused, air traffic control and airports are in chaos, federal employees are being forced to work without pay or worse, laid off, and Trump just continues to threaten more and more cuts with each passing day.

Speaker Johnson is blocking duly elected Dem Rep. Grijalva from being sworn in so the Epstein files don’t get released. Trump is tearing down the (actual!) White House without oversight. Republicans in Congress refuse to even come to work while crying over the newly elected NYC mayor, along with an absolute tidal wave of exciting young Democrats across the country. We can go on and on and on about everything they’re doing BESIDES cutting healthcare costs and feeding families.

This isn’t leadership. It’s sabotage.

And the truth is: the chaos is the point.

At A Woman’s Place, we refuse to let them win. Are you with us? Donate right now >>

Last Tuesday, Democrats proved our movement has all of the momentum — and the GOP’s harmful policies are NOT what the people want. From Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court wins to gubernatorial victories to sweeping down-ballot seats in long-held GOP districts across the country. Voters are DONE with the bullshit and extremism.

Now it’s on us to build on that success — to retake the House in 2026 and end this chaos for good. But we need you by our side to do it.

Every dollar we raise right now goes straight into recruiting and electing more Democratic candidates ready to lead with compassion, courage, and competence. The kind of leadership the GOP clearly can’t provide.

They broke it.

We’re going to fix it.

You can be a part of it.

The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.

We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
