 Dear Friend -- The COVID-19 health crisis is impacting our country, our city, and my family. Both my mother and my stepfather tested positive recently, and both are now hospitalized and on ventilators. My mom is a healthcare worker. She’s worked in the same clinic for over 25 years and is incredibly careful and understands the seriousness of this virus. Thankfully, both are in stable condition and we hope for a full recovery. They are both receiving heroic care from amazing doctors and nurses. My husband Matt and I have not interacted with them directly in many weeks, since we have been limiting family interactions due to the virus. We also both recently tested negative. As a son, and as your Mayor, I promise to continue to lead us through this pandemic with resolve and compassion. Let’s keep our families healthy - and our city moving forward.
