Dems blinked.

Late last night, after 40 days of the longest Government shutdown in American history, 8 Senate Democrats defected and moved to side with MAGA for nothing. 

These are the 8 Senate Democrats who sold us out: John Fetterman, Dick Durbin, Maggie Hassan, Tim Kaine, Angus King, Catherine Cortez Masto, Jackie Rosen, Jeanne Shaheen.

This was a dumb, unstrategic move. We got nothing in return.



All we got to show for working with Senate Republicans is that there would be a vote on Obama care subsidies and that the Senate GOP would (maybe?) *support* them. A pinky promise from some of the least trustworthy people in the world. 

This key component of Obama’s signature affordable care act will now likely be stripped down and millions of Americans will lose their healthcare. 

We just won in a landslide across America on Tuesday. It was a mandate for Democrats to keep fighting. The majority of Americans rightfully blamed Trump and not Democrats for the shutdown. Yet we threw in the towel for no discernable reason. 

We are in a primary against a well funded right-wing Democratic opponent who up until just a few months ago was a Republican. 

In the aftermath of January 6th they stayed Republican. After Roe was repealed they stayed Republican. 

Trisha has been a Democrat her whole life and has the battle scars to prove it. She fought her entire career for working people at the AFL-CIO, where I worked my way up to become their head speech writer. In 2024 when I went head to head with Boebert I had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in this district.

This campaign is about so much more than beating Boebert. It’s about electing a Democrat who will fight tooth and nail for us and never back down. I won’t, my opponent will.
