A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIR November 9, 2025 Greetings Fellow Republicans, Another November election is behind us, and in the aftermath, we can celebrate our successes and evaluate our losses, as we thank our candidates and the countless volunteers who worked so hard these past several months. Congratulations go out to our York County row office and judicial candidates who swept to victory, as well as many school board and local municipal candidates who were successful. Conversely, we also had local candidates who worked so tirelessly, only to come up short against entrenched opponents. Unlike last November, the GOP failed to stay close with the Democrats in total mail in ballot requests, such that the Democrats’ large advantage this November swamped our ability to make up the difference on election day. Out of the gate, the Democrats accumulated an overwhelming advantage in mail in ballot numbers. In future elections we MUST bank large percentages of mail in ballots if we have any hope for the kind of electoral success we had in November 2024. The mail in ballot deficit was also compounded by frustratingly low overall Republican voter turnout that left the GOP far behind the Democrats in many races. York County’s efforts on the NO for judicial retention came up short, in spite of the direct mail, radio and door knocking that was undertaken to win the NO vote. At best, York County barely managed a simple NO vote majority for some of the statewide judicial candidates when York County Republicans were expected to run up a sizeable margin in the retention vote to offset the blue counties. The heady success of November 2024 reminds us here in York County what is possible when we can inspire and exhort our fellow Republicans to turn out and vote either in person or by mail, when our future depends on it. For November 2026, it is essential we recapture the energy and teamwork that took us to victory in 2024. We must redouble our efforts to elect Stacie Garrity and defeat Josh Shapiro as well as push all our legislators to victory in Harrisburg and Washington. I challenge you to join me as we yet again embrace the Republican causes of free enterprise, limited government, faith and family values to achieve a brighter future for both Pennsylvania and America! PA Treasurer Announces Additional $50 Incentive for Keystone Scholars Families in November - PennWatch 11/04/2025 Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced a new incentive for November, offering families an additional $50 when they claim their child’s Keystone Scholars account and open a PA 529 College and Career Savings Program account. The promotion raises the total benefit to $150 for families who participate this month. Garrity said the initiative aims to encourage parents to invest early in their children’s education, noting that Keystone Scholars provides every child born on or after January 1, 2019, with a $100 scholarship funded through Treasury investments, not taxpayer dollars. More than 834,000 Keystone Scholars accounts have been opened with over $83 million in assets, and families who link their accounts have collectively saved more than $170 million. Pennsylvania currently has over 323,000 PA 529 accounts holding more than $9 billion in savings for future educational expenses. A&S Contracting and Roofing sued by Pennsylvania AG over alleged failure to fulfill customer contracts 11/04/2025 Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that his office has filed a lawsuit against A&S Contracting and Roofing, LLC, and its owner, Stephen Spallone, alleging violations of Pennsylvania’s Consumer Protection Law and Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act. The western Pennsylvania company is accused of collecting more than $56,000 in deposits from consumers for home improvement projects - including roofing, siding, decks, and patios—that were either left unfinished or never started. Six customers from Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, and Indiana counties filed complaints dating from 2021 to 2024. The lawsuit seeks to bar the company from operating in Pennsylvania and to secure refunds, civil penalties, and costs. Sunday urged any additional victims to contact the Bureau of Consumer Protection.     Be a part of something bigger than yourself.
