We were just sold out and betrayed. 

Eight MAGA appeasing Senate Democrats, including New Hampshire’s own Senator Jeanne Shaheen, just defected and broke ranks to vote for the Republican bill to reopen the government.

This comes on the heels of a historic landslide victory on Tuesday, a mandate in which the American people overwhelmingly made it known that they blame Trump for the shutdown. We capitulated with a winning hand. 

In exchange for reopening the government we got a verbal commitment, a pinky promise, that the Senate GOP, the least trustworthy people in America, would hold a vote on extending Obamacare subsidies.

In every shutdown since the Affordable Care Act passed, this has been the Republicans aim and now they can finally have their way. Mark my words, MAGA will renege on this promise and use this opportunity to kill the Affordable Care Act and strip millions of Americans of their healthcare. 

As a lawyer if I ever pushed a client to take a deal like this I would be accused of malpractice. It’s like giving a hostage taker their demands with no guarantee they’ll let the hostage live.

I am in the Democratic primary for NH-01, America’s most competitive Congressional seat, and I am up against the Daughter of the New Hampshire Senator who just sold us out to Trump as well as a Democrat whose campaign is being bankrolled by MAGA and AIPAC donors. 

When it matters most Democrats like these will sell us out.

We will never be able to take on MAGA until we rid our party of these MAGA appeasing Democrats. This fight is playing out in the Democratic primary in NH-01 and I need you now more than ever.
