Hi there,
The Special Olympics mission wouldn’t be here today without the millions of supporters around the world—like YOU!
That’s why every July we celebrate Champions of Inclusion: people with and without intellectual disabilities leading the charge for respecting and embracing all abilities in sports, in schools, and in the community.
Take Steven, a Special Olympics golfer, athlete leader, and speaker. He stepped up during Covid-19 pandemic working the frontline, despite the risk, making sure his community had everything they needed — taking on not just one job, but two (at a grocery AND at a retail superstore). He is a true champion of inclusion and is helping to build a more joyful and welcoming world.
We know there are so many other athletes, coaches, volunteers, parents, supporters, and other Champions out there to recognize. Do you know a Champion of Inclusion?
Take a moment to nominate a Champion of Inclusion and share their story. We’ll gather some of the best stories to share on our website. And you can share their story too on social media using hashtag #CelebratingChampions.
Thank you for championing inclusion,
The Special Olympics Team |
