We won. A federal judge ruled that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service broke the law by stripping federal protections from gray wolves in the Northern Rockies. This is a major victory in the fight to protect this majestic species from extinction! But these wolves still lack lifesaving protections under the Endangered Species Act and are at risk of suffering brutal massacres at the hands of trophy hunters.

This is a critical moment in our fight. Wolves are still at risk of being hunted to extinction by trophy hunters in certain states and even by state officials who carry out legal wolf slaughter in the name of “predator control” programs.
