Tuesday night was a huge moment for California Democrats and for all Americans who value our democracy.

When our campaign to stop Donald Trump’s election-rigging plot began, many pundits thought we were unlikely to win. Some reporting even had Governor Newsom’s Election Rigging Response Act starting underwater in the polls.

But on Tuesday, the California bear roared with a message as clear as day: Voters decide elections, not MAGA politicians.

Whether you donated, volunteered, or just voted and followed along with the campaign in the news — thank you.

Throughout the course of this campaign, 3910 new donors joined our team for the very first time.

Thousands more stepped up and renewed past support.

Early organizing made a difference in this race, and we are elated at the outcome.

But here’s the hard part: Our work is not done. Voters in California have decided that Donald Trump cannot rig next year’s elections before a single vote is cast, but now we have to win these critical U.S. House races that will determine control of the House of Representatives.

If we defend vulnerable blue seats and flip our targets here in California, Democrats will be in a great position to fire Speaker Mike Johnson and put an ironclad “check” on Donald Trump.
