While federal workers go without paychecks, and millions of families brace for delayed or slashed SNAP benefits, Trump is obsessed with ballroom renovations, gold-plated décor, and Great Gatsby–themed Halloween parties at Mar-a-Lago.
All while his shutdown blocks Democrats’ efforts to extend healthcare subsidies — letting premiums skyrocket by hundreds, and even thousands, of dollars a month for working families.
This isn’t governing. It’s mockery. It’s a portrait of an oligarchic elite laughing at the rest of us while we pick up the tab.
And our community is literally picking up the tab, because we refuse to let our neighbors starve while the oligarchs feast. My campaign office is now a drop-off hub for food and essentials for families hit by the shutdown. After a decade volunteering with local food pantries and leading service projects, I know this: when the government fails, it’s everyday people — not the powerful — who step up.
I’m running for Congress because I refuse to accept that this is the best we can do. My campaign is about restoring a government that serves working people, not the wealthy few. That means fighting for universal healthcare, lowering costs for families, and ensuring that every person, not just the powerful, has a voice in Washington.
Can I count on you to pitch in $35, $10, or whatever you can spare to help us take our government back for the people it was meant to serve?
