Dear john,
America faced a harsh reality this week. As President Trump said, “We have a choice between communism and common sense.” The rubber has hit the road in New York, Virginia, and New Jersey. It didn’t matter that the attorney general–elect wanted to kill a GOP lawmaker and his family, or that Zohran Mamdani is a communist who openly despises Israel. Just 24 years after 9/11, the people of New York—once a beacon of American perseverance—have elected a mayor who represents everything this country is not.
And here’s the truth: no one will be surprised when his own policies collapse under the weight of their delusion. New Yorkers will soon discover that “free housing” is nothing more than a campaign line, one that crumbles the moment reality sets in. And when Mamdani eventually needs the NYPD to restore order, he’ll discover that he’s dismantled, demoralized, and defunded the very force that keeps the city standing. That’s not leadership. That’s an assault on the very fabric of our nation, and New Yorkers will pay the price unless America wakes up and chooses common sense again.
