We’re not surprised. Elise Stefanik has been looking for her next promotion all year.

She was ready to resign her seat just months after being re-elected to become Trump’s UN Ambassador. But after seeing how strong our momentum was, Republicans were scared that they’d lose their razor-thin majority, so they pulled Stefanik’s nomination and kept her in Congress.

Now, after not holding an in-person town hall for six years and getting booed when she finally held an event in the district, Stefanik is once again doing what she does best: looking out for herself and her career.

Herbert, the North Country deserves a leader who will fight for us all the time, not just when they feel like it.
