Hi friend,

In this special edition of the Patriot Weekly, I wanted to talk about our fantastic election night across the country this past Tuesday.

From the Hudson Valley to the national stage, Democrats made it clear that we are ready, willing, and able to stand up to Trump. But it’s more than that—positivity and patriotism inspire people with something to vote FOR. And across New York, Patriot PAC candidates got huge wins.

That’s how we’ll keep up our momentum and make Election Day 2026 even bigger.

What’s going on
Hudson Valley
[link removed] [[link removed]] Democrats saw strong performances in all three NY-18 counties on Tuesday. In Dutchess, Democrats flipped the County Legislature blue for the first time in decades and won two major county-wide elections by double digits.
[link removed] [[link removed]]In my home county of Ulster, we elected the FIRST-EVER Dem supermajority in the Legislature, with Patriot PAC candidates like firefighter Bill Murray leading the way. This is a huge opportunity to build more housing and bring down costs.

We also had big wins in Orange County, which Trump won all three times he was on the ballot. We flipped at least 4 seats in the County Legislature, including an incredibly impressive win by Coast Guard veteran Matt Fascaldi.

New York

In Amherst, NY, a town just outside Buffalo, we saw another huge Democratic win. Air National Guard Major Shawn Lavin won a decisive, 6-point victory for Town Supervisor.

In Columbia County, Jackie Salvatore became the first woman of color to win a county sheriff’s seat in New York State history!

And on Long Island, an area of the state that’s been trending rapidly red, Uniondale Fire Department Captain Olena Nicks won a critical race for Nassau County Legislature.

Washington

Two of my colleagues and friends—Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill—won decisive, double digit victories. Both Sherrill and Spanberger are patriots and dedicated public servants who won by laying out a positive vision and focusing on affordability and costs. They, and all the local candidates who prevailed in New York and across America, are a model of public service and how the Democratic Party can win big in 2026.

Going on offense

I started Patriot PAC because I wanted to help the best public servants among us run for office. On Tuesday, we saw veterans, teachers, and first responders win huge races in New York and across the country. Tuesday showed us the path forward. Now we just have to follow it, and keep working hard, to win in 2026, 2028, and beyond. If you're fired up and ready to keep winning, support our work at Patriot PAC. [[link removed]]

Keep the faith, keep up the fight, and thank you for reading!

In Solidarity,

Pat
