1. My race is one of the most competitive in the country. Outside groups have already reserved hundreds of thousands of dollars in attack ads against me: They want someone in this seat who will put them before Utahns, and they know I never will.

2. I have a new opponent who has the full support of President Trump -- and along with that comes big money from Trump donors, national Republicans, and special interests.

3. It's going to be expensive to fight back. We just finalized our budget for the next four months, and we can't afford to fall short on even one fundraising goal.
