White women voted for Abigail Spanberger in Virginia in overwhelming numbers because they wanted someone who looks like them.

Yes, Spanberger the democrat candidate and winner of Virginia’s gubernatorial race is white, whereas Winsome Earle-Sears the republican candidate is black, but by “looks like them” I do not at all mean race.

I mean misery.

Across every demographic marker, the exit poll data from the recent election is clear: rich, white, highly educated, areligious, unmarried women vote more than 80% liberal. This archetype is also, just according to the data, something else: more depressed, over-medicated, with an increasing rate of suicide and the highest rates of drug and alcohol abuse than at any time in history.

Herstory, if you prefer.

The phenomenon of these deeply unhappy individuals is so commonly experienced in society that we have even given it a name: “The Karen.”

And these Karens saw themselves in Spanberger who treated them as want to be treated: victims.

Virginia’s Karens are victims of Donald Trump who twice has denied them an equally miserable woman Presidency. They are victims of Elon Musk’s DOGE cuts to their government funded nonprofit which raises awareness about heart disease in lesbian snails. Victims of the “Republican shut down” which furloughed them from their Department of Whatever day job under the cruel moniker “non-essential personnel”. Victims of male Justices on the Supreme Court who threatened their sacred right to abortion. Victims of War Secretary Pete Hegseth who said they must train at the same physical standards as men. (Pete perhaps they hate the most because no man who looks like Pete winks at them anymore).

Winsome Sears did not coddle these women. The former Marine did not indulge their Karenocity, feed their Karenness, ignite their Karenisms.

Sears, the black immigrant Republican, does not see herself as a victim. Spanberger did, as all liberal women do, and they loved her for it.

For a Karen, elections are not about who is the better leader or which policies best serve society. No, elections are a rage-filled debate on The View, a self- empowering episode of Oprah, or a candle-lit bathtub and a well-worn copy of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Electoral politics are affirmation. They are therapy.

Think about it: The pointless “No Kings” protest last month was mostly comprised of white women in their 40’s, and that is very odd. This is not 1970’s, where women are called “toots” with their fanny’s smacked in smoke filled offices. These Karens are not Norma Rae demanding the right to unionize. Women have overcome legitimate trials, and triumphantly so. But that is not today’s Karen who almost certainly has experienced nothing comparable without an immediate HR action, lawsuit, or exposé in a print magazine.

Today’s 40-year old women have only known a red-carpet life in the majority with every effort of institutions and corporations catering to their needs. The majority of college and university students are women. The majority of post- graduate and doctoral students, medical school, law school students are women. Women out-earn men in the same professional field, a statistic that makes them apparently so unhappy, they have to invent the “pay gap” myth.

No Kings? If anything, the protest should be called “No Queens”. Women in America have it so good they can yell at a man for holding open a door but still demand they exit first in a fire.

Women have the privilege of publicly fighting the demons of their own making. Toxic masculinity. The patriarchy. Doña Quijote fighting the windmills of her mind.

Yet, despite all the progress women have made (now bordering on societal overcompensation) these women are still deeply unhappy, and that is a national concern. Fixing it is imperative, because these Karens are voting us into poverty, debt, war, climate change stupidity, open borders, rampant crime, or, tragically, even getting us killed.

No man was shocked to discover that the pilot of the Blackhawk helicopter which flew directly into the path of a passenger jet at Reagan Airport killing 67 people was a known political Karen who refused to listen to the male air traffic controllers.

Slay, queen.

Show me a terrible policy and I will show you the 40-something year old liberal woman who champions it.

It is Karens who push the trans agenda on children. Karens want open borders. Karens advocate for ending cash bail.

Regime change in Libya? Sure, it was four American men who were brutally murdered (and tens of thousands of Africans who are now sold for as little as $400 in the largest slave operation in human history including the transatlantic slave trade) but super-Karen Samantha Power thought it was a good idea.

Yes, white liberal women in America are going through a thing, and we are all suffering as a result.

Here in Virginia where I run my sheep farm I am all but guaranteed tax hikes. The Karens have willed it, and the incoming Spanberger Administration will destroy our strong state budget because, as a Karen herself, undisciplined spending will be her second nature. Just look at another Karen governor, Tim Walz of Minnesota, who turned an $18billion surplus into a $5billion deficit.

But look at me mansplaining… as if any of this even matters. Spanberger is historic! And the demographic that elected her can celebrate their collective victory. They will celebrate by staying miserable.

Voting liberal is does not make them happy. Insane liberal policies do not bring them joy. Karens voted for Spanberger to make us miserable. THAT is their joy. “If I am going to be miserable then you will be, too.” Spanberger’s election is not one that cures or calms or assuages pain. It is affirmation by dissemination, for when we are all as angry as they are, in our violent, expensive, lawless, overtaxed communities, then they aren’t quite as singular in their misery as before.

All the aforementioned negative realities facing women are trending in the wrong way: the depression, drugs, medication. More liberalism, more government, more protests, more anger at Trump or the patriarchy or the unquestionably handsome Pete Hegseth… none of it will change that.

My concern is that it will continue to worsen. This unbreakable, engaged monolith voting bloc is very politically valuable. It is the new black vote in South Carolina, but it is found everywhere, and the candidates are much more at home drinking chardonnay than clapping at Church. Candidates will be forged like Uruk-hai in the pits of Isengard for the sole purpose of capturing the Karen vote, creating death spirals of government funding for awareness- raising and programs for marginalized communities… government ventures creating more Karens growing the bloc bigger and bigger…

Spanberger cannot make the Karens happy. She will just make the rest of us miserable. That is the goal

The government. Academia. Liberal philanthropy. All institutions which produce the Karen, all institutions which, in my next op-ed I will outline why they must be destroyed if we, as a free people, are to survive. As I encourage my London friends to get a dog and bacon delivery service, I encourage my friends here, men and women, black and white, young and old, protect yourself from the Karen because she is coming for you.

She is coming for us all because we have what she hates most of all: happiness.

Honor and courage.
