Last month, we kicked off a series of public town halls to address the gun violence epidemic in Minnesota.
I take this issue seriously — for too long, gun violence has gone unchecked, and it’s about time we do more to prevent it and save lives. Unfortunately, some in the Republican Party are still standing in the way.
That’s why I decided to bring this topic to the people and host these important conversations in districts where state legislators are on the fence about supporting our proposed assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines ban.
While we continue to hold more of these gun violence town halls in communities across the state, in case you can’t make it to one, I want to hear directly from you.
