John,
Thank you to everyone who responded to our previous email about how we can provide food to our neighbors in Washington’s 6th District who need it most!
Here are even MORE local resources to help folks on SNAP ⬇️
• The Emergency Food Network has a map of food pantries, meal sites, and food lockers across Pierce County.
• Coastal Harvest lists dozens of its partner food banks in Grays Harbor, Pacific, Lewis, Thurston, Mason, Jefferson, and Wahkiakum counties.
• The Kitsap Food Bank Coalition partners with food pantries and food banks across Kitsap County:
• Helpline House on Bainbridge Island
• Bremerton Foodline in Bremerton
• Central Kitsap Food Bank in Silverdale
• Fishline in Poulsbo
• St. Vincent de Paul in Bremerton
• ShareNet in Kingston
• South Kitsap Helpline in Port Orchard
• North Mason Food Bank in Belfair
• The Port Angeles Food Bank and WSU Extension Clallam County created a living document of food resources across Clallam County.
While Emily continues to work in D.C. to end the shutdown, restore SNAP funding, and prevent health insurance premiums from skyrocketing, we can ALL play a part in ensuring our neighbors have the food they need.
Thank you for everything you do 💙

PREVIOUS EMAIL:
John,
Last month, the Trump administration said that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) benefits would run out on November 1. Today, they announced they will partially fund SNAP, but the process could take months.
While Emily and House Democrats work toward a solution in Congress, ALL of us can step up to help the 115,000 of our neighbors in Washington’s 6th District who receive SNAP benefits (also known in WA as Basic Food):
• Donate – This is the most helpful thing you can do to address immediate needs. Use this tool from 211 Washington to find your nearest pantry or food bank. If you’re in the Bremerton area, you can support Bremerton Foodline.
While donations of non-perishable food are always appreciated, donating money allows local food banks to purchase exactly what their community needs. Since they buy in bulk, $1 donated to a food bank can buy as much as $11 worth of groceries.
• Volunteer – If you can give your time, you can do many different things: Host a food drive, sort and pack donations, deliver meals, help people apply for benefits, and more. Northwest Harvest has links to volunteer opportunities across the state, and you can always call your local food bank and ask what they need.
• Advocate – In the short term, we must end the Trump shutdown and fully fund SNAP. You can use this call script. Here in Washington, the Anti-Hunger and Nutrition Coalition works on these issues year-round.
But every issue, from Medicaid and insurance premiums to wages and collective bargaining, is intertwined with hunger. That’s why Team Emily is organizing to elect leaders at the state and federal levels who put people first.

Thank you for being in this fight with us 💙

Emily Randall is proud to represent Washington’s 6th District in Congress. She grew up in a working-class Union household in Port Orchard and was the first in her family to attend college. After serving in the State Senate and passing nearly 200 bills, Emily made history in 2024 as the first queer Latina elected to Congress.
Now, Emily is fighting for WA working families in D.C. and organizing to take back the House. Can you chip in $6 or any amount and join our team?
