Telehealth allows patients to talk with their doctors online using videoconferencing platforms. Doctors can see patients, discuss their symptoms, order tests, and even prescribe medication.

Expand Medicaid? Democrats’ plan would increase waste, fraud and debt

Medicaid, which will turn 55 on July 31, has ballooned since its creation. The program initially provided health coverage to low-income individuals and families – and eventually grew to cover the blind, disabled and other vulnerable populations. As of 2018, one of every six dollars of health care spending goes through Medicaid – nearly $600 billion.

With all due respect to Congressman Dr. Green, he doesn’t get it. Six feet of distancing isn’t magic; it’s just a guess about what manageable distance between individuals lowers the probability of transmission to a reasonable level. And even then, we know that when a person shouts, sings, coughs, or sneezes, droplets or aerosols (which contain minuscule particles and stay airborne for long periods) can travel much farther than six feet.
