My first election was close -- and my re-election is set to be just as close. That means our margin for error is nonexistent.

John, Mainers are independent. We don’t just vote party lines down the ticket, and we follow our consciences. I have taken that spirit to the halls of Congress and made sure that when I’m representing Maine, I’m representing that independence.

It also means I don’t take any votes for granted. This race is going to be neck-and-neck until Election Day. I’m prepared to make my case to the folks here in Maine and earn their votes -- but I need your support to make sure our message reaches everyone.
