Hi all,

Before Zohran Mamdani was New York City's next mayor, he was a member of the NYC Democratic Socialists of America.

He got started in organizing as a DSA member, ran as a DSA-endorsed state legislator, and initially launched his campaign for mayor with the intention of building the NYC DSA chapter. Like many of 100,000 volunteers who powered his campaign, he remains a dues-paying member of NYC DSA.

Even beyond incredible charisma, a compelling policy vision, and a ridiculously good social media game, Zohran's win was made possible through the power of organization. NYC DSA was able to elect Zohran because they spent years building a structure that could mobilize tens of thousands of people across the city to fight back against billionaires and super PACs and corporate interests. It's possible to build that type of organization anywhere. And DSA chapters across the country are doing it.

If you're ready to bring this energy to Phoenix, then this is the perfect moment to join DSA! We are a member-based organization, and no matter your level of involvement, adding new members is the way we grow our power and our influence. Sign up to become a dues-paying DSA member here!

And consider getting involved in our chapter's work! On Saturday, November 15, we'll hold our monthly chapter meeting from 1-3 pm at Steele Indian School Park. The meeting will start with an orientation and welcome for newer members, and we'd love to see you there. RSVP here for all the details!

In solidarity,

Phoenix DSA

PS: We'd also love to see you at our Sunday social event TODAY at 3 pm at First Draft Book Bar in Phoenix!
