In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign for Senate. Please give me a chance to explain why this request -- especially today -- is so important.

As we venture into the summer months, which are notoriously slow for fundraising, we have to continue growing our support and building up this campaign.

Mitch McConnell is hoping that our fundraising slows down. And what's concerning is that it actually did at this point last summer, so we really have to make sure we keep up the pace.

Which is why I'm hoping that we can get 3,290 donations today which is the number of donations we need every day to stay on track to hit our goal this month. So what do you say?

Will you make a $3 contribution today to help us stay on track to hit our goal this month? If we can keep up the pace, especially during the slower summer months, we're going to win.

Making the decision to reject corporate PAC money was a big risk, but one that was important to me. Instead, we're funding this campaign a different way.

So just know that every time you decide to chip in $3, $5, $10 or whatever you can afford, it allows us to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
