John,

For the last four years, Trump has done everything in his power to destroy the planet.

We need to defeat Trump. To do that, Democrats need to put forward a climate plan that mobilizes people to vote because it takes the climate crisis head-on.

Sign the petition telling the Democratic Party 2020 Platform Committee: It’s time for bold, ambitious climate policy.

Trump’s anti-science administration has rolled back or eliminated environmental protections; he’s approved the use of deadly and dangerous pesticides, allowed the destruction of public and Indigenous lands, let Big Ag continue to exploit workers and farmers, and permitted Big Oil & Gas to continue to devastate our air, water, and planet.

Undoing the damage caused by Trump and decades of climate denialism is a huge undertaking. That’s why we were so excited to see the Democratic National Committee’s council on climate change put forward a bold vision for solving the climate crisis and building a new green economy. Food & Water Action has endorsed this plan, along with 90 other national environmental groups. The plan needs to be adopted into the Democratic Party platform, but that won’t happen without a groundswell of support.

Add your name telling the Democratic Party platform to adopt this climate policy.

Continuing down our current path is misguided and short-sighted. The Democratic Party must adopt an aggressive agenda to address the climate crisis. The Democratic National Committee has the opportunity to adopt a platform that:

Transitions to 100% clean, renewable energy, stops the use of fossil fuels and bans fracking with a just transition for workers.
Ensures the basic human right to clean air and drinking water.
Directs climate and environmental investments to low-income, rural, and Indigenous communities, and communities of color to fight environmental injustice and racism.

Sign the petition now: It’s time for aggressive climate policy.

We Need Bold Climate Policy Now

Trump has failed in every way. He's shown he cares about nothing other than granting favors for his polluting fossil fuel CEO cronies and moving this country backward. As a Food & Water Action supporter, you’ve been with us in the fight for safe food, clean water, and a healthy, livable climate. We’re at a crossroads, but I'm optimistic we can achieve a better future if we fight like we live here.

Add your name: Tell the Democratic Party to be the party of climate solutions.
