While Washington Democrats continue to hold the government hostage, Governor Mike Braun is staying focused on what matters most — keeping costs low and protecting Hoosier families. From energy prices to everyday expenses, he’s proving that conservative leadership delivers real results even when Congress can't.

Last week, Governor Braun joined Purdue President Mung Chiang for the Nuclear Energy Summit, outlining his plan to lower energy costs and strengthen Indiana’s power supply. The new Clear Creek Welcome Center, a celebration of Hoosier craftsmanship and our racing heritage, is just one example of how Governor Braun’s focus on economic strength and investment is paying off across the state.

Early this week, our Legislature announced that the special session on redistricting will begin as soon as December 1st. Democrats have spent decades rigging maps in their favor, and Governor Braun is making sure conservative voices won't be silenced. This special session is about defending our voice, restoring balance, and ensuring Democrats don't get to play by a different set of rules. Together, we’re showing the nation what real leadership looks like — rooted in fairness, focused on results, and committed to putting Hoosiers first.

Governor Braun Celebrates Indiana’s Basketball Tradition as New Season Tips Off

At the Purdue Nuclear Energy Summit, Governor Braun reaffirmed his commitment to lowering Hoosiers’ cost of living by ensuring affordable, reliable energy. In a fireside chat with Purdue President Mung Chiang, he outlined efforts to expand baseload energy production, strengthen the energy workforce, and promote innovation to meet growing demand. Governor Braun has appointed Abby Gray as Utility Consumer Counselor, ordered a review of utility profits, and established a Strategic Energy Task Force—all focused on protecting ratepayers and keeping energy costs low for families and businesses across Indiana.

Governor Braun Opens Clear Creek Welcome Center

Governor Mike Braun joined INDOT, IndyCar, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Doug Boles in Vigo County to celebrate the grand opening of the new Clear Creek Welcome Center on eastbound I-70 near the Indiana-Illinois border. Inspired by the Indianapolis 500, the state-of-the-art facility features IndyCar exhibits, including a replica Borg-Warner Trophy, a racing pylon, and a real IndyCar. The center also offers expanded amenities such as playgrounds, walking paths, a dog park, and 128 semi-truck parking spaces—part of INDOT’s $600 million statewide effort to modernize rest areas and nearly double truck parking capacity by 2034.

Governor Mike Braun celebrated [[link removed]] the start of the 2025 - 2026 NCAA basketball season, wishing all Indiana teams the best of luck as they begin a new year of competition.

Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith emphasized [[link removed]] that redistricting is fully constitutional and essential to restoring fair representation for Hoosiers. He argued that policies from the Biden and Obama administrations have undermined this fairness.
