Dear VCC Community,

Parents in Ontario who want to exempt their children from vaccine mandates are required to sign a self-incriminating affidavit. Ontario is one of only two provinces in Canada with vaccine mandates for children to receive a public education. The affidavit must be notarized by a commissioner of oaths and parents who refuse to consent to even one vaccine are required to attend an “education session” filled with vaccine propaganda and misinformation.

Children, as young as 5 years old are being suspended for up to 3 months in an attempt to coerce parents to accept vaccination.  Public health is ordering school principals to suspend students whose parents refuse to disclose the child’s health records.    

The law that Ontario is using to carry out these egregious violations is the Immunization of School Pupils Act that came into effect in 1982.  The Ontario government amended the ISPA in 2017 to add a self-incriminating affidavit requirement as well as an education (propaganda) session for parents to attend.  

Parents are now compelled to sign an affidavit which states that they are aware that by not fully vaccinating their child with every vaccine on the schedule they are “putting their child, and other children’s lives at risk”.  

This is an unacceptable situation that must be challenged.

Vaccine Choice Canada has teamed up with Children’s Health Defense Canada to launch legal action against these egregious violations of our right to bodily autonomy and the right and responsibility of parents to make medical decisions for their children.

In 2019, Vaccine Choice Canada assisted in the successful defeat of proposed legislation in New Brunswick (the other province with vaccine mandates) that would have removed personal belief and religious exemptions. This battle in Ontario is just as important.

I’m writing to ask your assistance to help VCC and CHD Canada to address these egregious violations. We cannot sit by while our governments and public health bully and intimidate parents and children.

We have retained legal counsel with a court date in early 2026. We believe the time is right to challenge this medical tyranny. The harms caused by the COVID mandates, and the mounting evidence that vaccinated children are sicker than unvaccinated children provides a window of opportunity for a favourable outcome.

Please donate what you can. This is a great opportunity to take down the vaccine tyranny. Laura and Rick Hayes have once again generously offered to donate $25,000 US toward a matching donor campaign. This means for every $100.00 you donate to VCC, the Hayes’ donate another $100.00.
