To say that the passage of Prop 50 has shaken up races like mine across California is an understatement. New maps are being drawn, and thousands of new voters will be folded into CA-49.

And while Prop 50 makes many Democratic-held seats safer, my race still remains one of the most competitive:

Updated race ratings from the political experts at Sabato’s Crystal Ball still rank CA-49 among the most competitive races nationwide.

It’s critical that we increase our voter outreach to keep this seat blue. Republicans are looking for any opportunity to flip a Democratic seat and maintain their MAGA majority in the House – and my challenger is one of their top recruits nationwide.

We can’t take anything for granted.
