When voters approved Proposition 50, it was a victory for fairness -- for every Californian who believes that democracy works best when everyone has a voice.
Prop 50 has reshaped the map -- and while it helps ensure fair representation, it also brings new voters and new ground to cover.
For our campaign, that means adapting fast. Thousands of new voters will soon be added to CA-27, and the GOP is already signaling plans to compete aggressively here. They know they have to flip competitive seats like ours to keep their MAGA majority.
This seat remains one of the most closely watched in the country, and control of the House could once again come down to districts just like ours.
I’m proud of what we’ve built together, but this next chapter will take even more organizing, outreach, and resources to make sure every new voter hears our message. I’m ready for that work, but I can’t do it alone.
