Hi JOHN,
Every week that Republicans in Congress delay, more people are facing higher insurance premiums, hospitals scrambling to budget, and patients wondering what they’ll do when their coverage costs double.
We can’t afford to “deal with it later.”
In Rhode Island, insurers have already announced huge rate hikes for next year, right as families prepare for open enrollment. That’s when people make hard choices about coverage, and when care providers set their budgets for the year ahead.
This is urgent.
And yet, Republicans in Congress have chosen to stay on recess, letting the government shut down instead of protecting access to affordable care.
Millions of Americans are counting on Congress to act, not argue. We can fund the government and protect health care at the same time.
I’m fighting to do both. But I need your help to keep the pressure on and make sure Congress puts people over politics.
Will you chip in $10 or whatever you can to help us keep fighting for affordable health care and common sense in Washington?
Thank you,
Seth
