It’s Native American Heritage Month — a time to honor the history,
culture, and resilience of Indigenous peoples who have shaped this country
for generations.
From the Hoopa Valley to the Pamunkey Reservation, Native communities
continue to carry forward traditions of a united community and
perseverance in the face of deep challenges. But remembrance alone isn’t
enough.
Honoring Native heritage means investing in Indigenous communities,
protecting sacred lands and natural resources, and supporting Native
leadership at all levels.
That’s why we’re proud to support Deb Haaland, one of the first two Native
American women ever elected to Congress, the first Native American Cabinet
Secretary, and a lifelong advocate for her community. Now, as she runs for
governor, Deb can once again make history as the first Native American
Governor of New Mexico.
