Democrats had HUGE wins on Tuesday night: the governorship in Virginia and New Jersey, Prop 50 in California, two statewide constitutional offices in Georgia that hadn’t flipped since 2006, and Kansas voters rejected a ballot initiative to gerrymander their congressional districts.

We had major wins – which speaks to how fired up and motivated folks are across the country to vote for Democratic candidates and values.

But let’s be real: these wins didn’t just happen because we wanted them to. They won because staffers, organizers, and candidates spent an entire year organizing their states, cities, and communities, building infrastructure and relationships, and getting out the vote.
