Hey, it’s Cormac, IDP’s Finance Director, and we are officially ONE day away from the biggest event of the year: IDP’s Liberty and Justice Celebration!
Tomorrow, Iowans are invited to join us in conversation about how to move our state forward ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. We have guests Former Rep. Gabby Giffords and Senator Mark Kelly as our keynote speakers, and we’re anticipating a productive evening.
But there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to put on an event like this. We have to fund security, decorations, ASL interpreters, and staffing and labor, and the costs add up!
After crunching some numbers, they add up to $7,000 to be exact.
We don’t want to have any last minute bumps or emergencies, which is why we’re setting a 24 hour fundraising goal to make sure we can raise the amount of money we need to have all of our bases covered.
Will you please pitch in a $25 donation towards our Liberty and Justice Celebration fund to help us reach our $7,000 goal? The event kicks off at 4 PM tomorrow, so we’re limited on time!
