Vote Forward volunteers are the power behind a cutting edge, innovative voter contact machine. 
 
By joining one of our campaigns, you’re powering the work that finds the most effective methods of turning out voters for the entire pro-democracy movement.
 
This year, dedicated volunteers across the country helped us test a first-of-its-kind outreach strategy in our Pennsylvania Supreme Court campaign. In addition to writing letters to encourage voters to cast their ballots, we invited recipients to call or text us back at a number where they could speak with a trained member of our Voter Support Team who could give them accurate, nonpartisan information about the election. And the early feedback we’ve seen so far has been incredible!
 
Here’s what volunteers on the Voter Support Team have been hearing from voters:

- Many were surprised to learn they could even vote for judges—asking, “Wait, what’s a retention election?” and “What happens if the judges aren’t retained?”


- One high school government teacher called and was appalled that his students got most, if not all, of their information (or in his words, “misinformation”) from social media. He asked for links to our nonpartisan voter guide so he could share reliable resources with them.

- And one call came from a woman who’d received a letter addressed to a former resident. Instead of tossing it, she read it—and was so inspired that she signed up to write letters herself. She told us she has eight grandchildren and plans to write letters to help them vote, too.


Each of these moments began with a single letter—but they grew into something more: a real connection that inspired others to take action.
 
Thanks to this community’s support, Vote Forward continues to innovate by testing, learning, and refining new ways to motivate voters to participate in some of the most important elections happening across the country.
