Voters across the country just took to the polls for the 2025 elections.

And they sent Trump and gun-lobby-backed Republicans everywhere a resounding rebuke of their anti-gun-safety agenda by electing gun safety Democrats in Virginia and New Jersey, passing gun safety legislation in Maine, and more.

But Trump and his MAGA Republicans in Congress still REFUSE to listen to Americans and reinstate the Federal Assault Weapons Ban to protect our communities from endless mass shootings.

Without a national ban on these weapons of war, it’s next to impossible to stop shooters from using them to carry out violence at any place, any time. It’s despicable.

So we’re launching an emergency petition to prove OVERWHELMINGLY supports banning assault weapons. We need 2,500 signatures in the next 24 hours to let these Republicans know that we won’t stand for their inaction any longer – not after more than 370 mass shootings in 2025. Here’s the deal:

We protested. We called in. We rallied.

We drove across the country to the sites of mass shootings in 2024.

We sat outside the Capitol for 7 days and 7 nights in 2023.

We helped host a YEARLY vigil for survivors of gun violence and the loved ones of the innocents lost to these senseless tragedies – attended by hundreds, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

But Republicans refused to listen to us.

They turned off their office phones.

They walked away from the survivors of mass shootings.

They refused to hear the stories of those we’ve lost to the tragedies they have the power to prevent.

And now these very same Republicans have full power, while 370+ mass shootings ravage our communities.

But earlier this week, voters took to the polls across the country and demanded Republicans stop turning a blind eye to the bloodshed.

So: We’re determined to make sure our wins from the 2025 election cannot be ignored – and to build on them by FINALLY reinstating the federal assault weapons ban that Trump’s majorities have blocked for far too long.
