As a Coloradan and an avid hiker, I take a lot of pride in the fact that we've got more fourteeners (peaks of 14,000 feet or higher in elevation) here in our backyard than in any other state – 58, to be exact.

They're at the heart of our outdoor heritage and economy. They're where some of my most treasured memories have been made. They're part of what makes Colorado, in my not-so-humble opinion, the most beautiful state in the U.S.

In short, Colorado's fourteeners are core to who we are. So I'm asking you to donate $14 to help me defend them as governor, right away.

Because, as Donald Trump's administration and his GOP allies –

* Attempt to lay off scores of National Park Service and Forest Service staff,
* Open up cherished wild spaces to industrial logging, mining, and drilling,
* Propose selling off millions of acres of public lands to the highest bidder,
* Undo regulations that protect our land, and more…

– the stakes of preserving our fourteeners, and every Coloradan's right to safely scale them, have never been higher.

I believe we share a responsibility to protect – not pillage – Colorado's outdoors for the generations who inherit them from us. And I'm committed to doing just that.

So as governor, I'll make sure that together, we make Colorado a national leader in expanding protections for our parks, peaks, and open spaces. Our kids and grandkids deserve nothing less.

But upholding this commitment first requires winning this race – and since I'm running a grassroots-powered campaign, I can't do that without you alongside me every step of the way.
