A pastor praying for peace was shot with pepper bullets. Children are being snatched on their way to school. Peaceful protestors have been sprayed with tear gas. Entire apartment buildings are being raided in the middle of the night. Families’ homes are torn apart.
ICE calls it “enforcement.” We call it what it is: abuse of power.

In Chicago and across the country, our neighbors and community members are being kidnapped by masked, warrantless federal agents and deported without any semblance of due process or justice, leaving behind shattered homes and heartbroken communities. And just this week, Trump told 60 Minutes the ICE raids “haven’t gone far enough.”
None of this makes us safe. There is a better way.
