John,

Tuesday’s elections were a powerful rejection of Trump and his corrupt agenda – a good sign for Democrats and progressives heading into 2026.

Across the board, Democrats overperformed polls and Republicans underperformed Trump’s margins in 2024. What this means: we have a real chance to elect a new Congress that will hold Trump accountable.

At Food & Water Action, we’re making plans for the 2026 election – and we need your input, John – will you take our 2026 Election survey now? ([link removed])

For Democrats, it was good news across the board on Tuesday. And thanks to the support of our members, Food & Water Action was on the ground in some key races.

We worked to elect a slate of legislative champions in New Jersey, where Democratic Mikie Sherril won the Governorship by over 10%.

In Pennsylvania, we helped elect a former lead volunteer, Tara Zrinski, as Northampton County Executive, winning a county Trump won last year by almost 20%. Food & Water Action knocked on 20,000 doors to help get Tara elected.

Our sister organization, Food & Water Watch, also worked to pass Proposition 50 in California, countering Trump’s attempts to rig the 2026 elections through gerrymandering.

Now we’re laser-focused on 2026 and are ramping up our plans to take back the House and Senate as well as engage in key state and local races.

In the coming months, we will be rolling out a series of endorsements and ways to get involved. But before we do, we wanted to ask you, John, about your thoughts on 2026 and how you plan to engage.

We want your input! Take our 3-minute Food & Water Action 2026 Election Survey. ([link removed])

Thank you in advance for your input. Knowing that you’re with us as we ramp up our plans for 2026 will help us as we look to engage our membership in the fights ahead.

Onward together,

Sam Bernhardt
