I work every day to help fight back against animal cruelty, by caring for and rehabilitating cruelty victims. In my time as a Canine Caregiver at the ASPCA Canine Annex for Recovery and Enrichment (CARE), I’ve seen countless dogs as they heal both mentally and physically from some of the most unthinkable traumas.

Dogs abandoned, found emaciated in apartments, or those rescued from the hands of an abuser. Animals who survive physical trauma, second and third-degree burns, dogfighting, severe neglect and more than we can imagine.

As we tend to wounds, feed and comfort them and ultimately, find them loving homes, we know that none of this could be possible without friends like you.
You make it possible for Canine Caregivers like me to help innocent victims, to give them loving scratches behind the ears and to show them that there is hope for a better tomorrow.
Not only do I see the incredible impact your gifts make in caring for and rehabilitating cruelty victims, I know just how far that impact goes for dogs like Zola, who came to us injured and afraid.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to foster this special girl. Zola is just one of thousands of dogs who may be left to suffer if it weren’t for your support. You truly make it possible for suffering animals to go from broken and shut down, to happy and fun-loving.
