[1]Juliana Stratton for Senate

Earlier this week, when I watched Donald Trump’s interview on 60 Minutes, I was horrified.

When he was asked about ICE, he said the agents “haven’t gone far enough.”

That hit me hard — because I’ve seen what that looks like up close, right here in Chicago.

There are agents ripping parents away from their children. Civilians being hurt and even shot by agents. Schools being raided. Teachers being pulled from classrooms in front of students. Neighborhoods living in fear.

When will it be enough, Donald? ICE is inhumane and cruel.

But in Illinois, we don’t give in to cruelty. We come together. We look out for one another. We fight for our neighbors — and we don’t back down.

In Chicago, we fight back every day — as neighbors, as an administration, and as a community. We are pushing back against ICE’s abuses, defending our residents, and protecting our children. I will not stop until our neighborhoods are safe from these violent, unnecessary raids.

But this fight can’t stop here. Donald Trump’s hateful agenda comes from the top — and the only way to stop it is to send bold, principled leaders to Washington who will stand up to him.

If you’re with me in this fight, please chip in whatever you can today to help my campaign take our fight to the Senate.

From one neighbor to another — thank you for standing with me.
