Dear Friend,
I’ll be honest with you, Washington is a mess right now. Too many career politicians are more interested in headlines than helping hardworking Americans. But while others talk, I’m focused on delivering results that matter to families in Wisconsin.
Recent weeks have made one thing clear: we can’t sit back and hope things get better. We have to fight for them.
What’s happening
As you know, the government shutdown has exposed just how dysfunctional Washington has become. It didn’t have to happen. I voted with my House Republican colleagues to continue to fund the government. But instead of negotiating in good faith, Senate Democrats would rather play politics while federal workers and families are caught in the middle. I’ve said from the start that we need to reopen the government and get back to the table to find real solutions.
Also, I recently introduced the Bank Competition Modernization Act to make sure our small-town banks can compete on a level playing field — so local businesses and families aren’t squeezed by big corporations and Washington red tape.
I also introduced the Combatting Money Laundering in Cyber Crime Act of 2025 to crack down on financial crimes and keep criminals — foreign and domestic — from exploiting the digital system hardworking taxpayers rely on.
And as health insurance costs continue to rise, I’ve been speaking out against policies that make things worse instead of better. Wisconsin families deserve a healthcare system they can rely on.
Standing up for Wisconsin values
While others chase sound bites, I’m focused on protecting taxpayers, securing our communities, and defending the conservative values that built this country. But here’s the truth: none of this happens without you.
The fight for our future and for economic freedom, for secure borders, for common sense in government depends on grassroots supporters stepping up.
Why your support matters
We’re heading into some big battles in Congress and gearing up for the 2026 election. The left is pouring millions into flipping conservative seats, and they’d love nothing more than to silence voices like ours.
Your contribution of $25, $50, or $100 helps us fight back, get our message out, and keep Wisconsin’s 5th District a stronghold for common sense and conservative leadership.

Washington won’t fix itself. It takes people like you, people who care about faith, family, freedom, and the future of this country, to make sure we stay on the right path.
I’m fighting every day to hold the line. But I can’t do it alone. Thank you for standing with me.
Sincerely,
Scott Fitzgerald
U.S. Representative, Wisconsin’s 5th District
