John,
After watching Democrats sweep races across the country and double down on their socialist agenda, I wanted to update you on the steps we’re taking to defend our majority and push against the Left’s dangerous policies.
I want to thank President Trump for his early and total endorsement of our campaign. I’m truly honored to once again have his trust and support. An endorsement this early isn’t common, and it speaks to how important holding our majority in Congress is for the America First agenda. Tuesday’s elections should serve as a serious wake-up call for Republicans: Democrats are energized, organized, and preparing to spend millions to flip districts like they did in 2018. President Trump faced endless investigations and was impeached twice. We cannot allow that to happen again! With President Trump’s confidence and your support, we can keep Congress in Republican hands and keep the United States moving in the right direction. I look forward to your continued support and engagement as we barrel into the new year.
And regarding Tuesday’s election, there are many lessons I’d like my supporters to take. Democrats spent the past month weaponizing the government shutdown, threatening hunger through missed SNAP benefits, and the furlough of federal workers to scare and motivate their base—and it worked. At the same time, openly socialist candidates continue gaining ground in cities and statehouses across the country, showing how far the Left’s agenda has drifted. We cannot allow this movement to grow unchecked. Over the next year, we must build a smarter, deeper ground game that turns out both high-propensity voters and the MAGA low-propensity voters who sometimes stay home in midterms or off-year elections. If we organize early and meet these voters where they are, we can hold the House, protect our majority, and stop socialism from creeping any further into our nation.
I signed onto a bipartisan resolution introduced by Rep. María Elvira Salazar and Senator Rick Scott condemning socialism as the antithesis of the American Dream. It’s important that Congress speaks with one voice against an ideology that has destroyed economies, silenced free speech, murdered millions, and forced entire generations into poverty and government dependence. Sadly but unsurprisingly, nearly half of House Democrats refused to support the measure when it last came to a vote, a chilling reminder of how far this ideology has spread within their party. If you didn’t have the chance to add your name from my correspondence yesterday, I’m asking you to do so now and make your voice part of the record. The United States must always stand as a beacon of liberty against socialism’s false promises and dark history.
