Trump and his Republican allies love to wrap themselves in the flag and act like they have some monopoly on loving our country. Absolutely not, John.

I don’t think it’s patriotic to rip healthcare away from people to pay for tax handouts to the ultra rich and powerful.

I don’t think it’s patriotic to gut and privatize the VA and put the earned care of veterans who served our country at risk.

I don’t think it’s patriotic to screw over our farmers and then bail out Argentina to the tune of billions.

I don’t think it’s patriotic to threaten to deploy American troops against their fellow citizens on our streets.

And I know it wasn’t patriotic to pardon Jan. 6 cop beaters and rioters.

John, I won’t take any lecture on patriotism from anyone who trampled on our Constitution and tried to overthrow our government.
