Hey there John,

Earlier today, students at more than 100 campuses across the country walked out of class, alongside teachers and campus workers, to stand shoulder to shoulder against Trump’s attacks on higher education. They said, loud enough for the world to hear: universities should be places of learning, not propaganda machines for an out of control authoritarian regime.

Help us continue to organize young people against overreaching authoritarians and the billionaires funding them by chipping in $25 today. [[link removed]]
From Kansas to New York City, students demanded an education free from fear of the authoritarians who think they can control them and the billionaires who think they can buy them.

They protested Trump’s threats that if universities don’t align with his administration’s conservative agenda, they will lose federal funding. They called for fair pay for workers, protections for trans and international students, and an end to corporate control of our classrooms.

They’re just getting started.

The students leading this fight are already planning the next wave of actions, growing campus chapters every month and building towards strikes in collaboration with labor on May Day.

To keep that momentum going, they need us. From meetings to banners, organizing takes time, training, and resources.

Can you chip in $25 today to help fund the student movement fighting for democracy and our future? [[link removed]]
Trump and his billionaire allies think they can control what this generation learns, says, and believes. But these brave young people have already learned something he’ll never understand: you can’t silence a movement.

In solidarity,

Team Sunrise
