Team,

In case you missed it: Kwame recently delivered another major legal victory for Illinois!

But before we get into that, can you pitch in now to help re-elect Kwame? As the Trump administration ups the pressure, it’s becoming increasingly clear that we need bold Attorneys General like Kwame in office now more than ever.

Okay, so let’s get into the good news:

Judge blocks Trump administration from withholding transportation funds over immigrant enforcement.

Illinois, along with 19 other states, won yet another victory in court Tuesday, with a federal judge siding with them and blocking the Trump administration from withholding federal transportation money over cooperation with its nationwide immigration blitzes.

…“The billions of dollars appropriated by Congress are essential to states’ efforts to keep our residents safe as they travel our roads, railways and the skies,” said Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul. “It is outrageous that the administration would attempt to hold critical funding — that has nothing to do with immigration — hostage to force states into complying with its cruel immigration policies.”

…This decision comes more than a month after Illinois and other states saw another similar court victory after a federal judge blocked the Trump administration from withholding disaster relief from states with “sanctuary laws” on the books.

Kwame isn’t just working hard for us; he’s working hard for us and winning — time and time again.

We need to support the elected officials who are stepping up and getting results in these challenging times. Can you donate now to help us keep Kwame in office as the strongest line of defense possible between Illinois and executive overreach?
