[ [link removed] ]VICTORY: From NJ to VA, our movement showed up strong on Election Day
Spanberger. Sherrill. Pennsylvania's Supreme Court.

John, voters across the country showed up to the ballot box
this week to make our voices heard. And we made history!

Led by volunteers and supporters like you, we turned a national spotlight
on an off–year election.

In New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia we elected—and defended—our Gun
Sense Majorities in state legislatures, the courts, and governors'
mansions.

In each election victory, one thing was clear—voters want to feel safe.
Time and time again, we have seen how gun violence destroys families and
leaves communities grieving.

And we, the people, have spoken: We want leaders who keep us safe, and not
policies that undermine our safety.

Here are just some of my highlights from Election Day:

VIRGINIA

Abigail Spanberger made history and was elected to be Virginia's next
Governor. She is also the first Moms Demand Action volunteer to be elected
as a governor!

Along with Governor-elect Spanberger, all 13 Moms Demand Action volunteers
running for the Virginia House of Delegates won. Moms Demand Action
volunteers will make up 20% of the Democratic Caucus in the House, paving
the way for progress on gun safety in the state.

NEW JERSEY

In New Jersey, Mikie Sherrill was elected as the next governor of the
Garden State! With her election, voters in New Jersey sent a clear
message: safety, responsibility, and community are winning values.

As a member of Congress she has been a champion for gun violence
prevention: fighting to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers,
expand access to secure storage efforts, and ensure background checks on
all gun sales. As Governor, she will continue that work and build on the
progress New Jersey has made as one of the safest states in the country.

PENNSYLVANIA

Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty,
and David Wecht won their retention elections to serve another 10-year
term.

This is a huge win for our movement. With these Gun Sense Champions
returning to the bench, their re-elections prove that voters are
continuing to choose safety, accountability, and a future free from gun
violence.

While we celebrate the wins and good news from this week, we can't forget
that the fight for a future free from gun violence keeps going.

MAGA extremists in Congress have learned nothing from their election
losses. They are pushing dangerous legislation to create a Concealed Carry
Mandate that would force each state to allow people from other states to
carry hidden, loaded guns in public, even in states that wouldn't
otherwise let them.

The majority of people do NOT want a federal concealed carry mandate.

But MAGA extremists still hold the power in Congress—and if they're not
letting up, neither can we.

The Concealed Carry Mandate guts our gun laws, puts our safety at risk,
and tramples over states' rights—which is why your U.S. Representative

on the Concealed Carry Mandate.
