Hi John,
On Tuesday, voters in eastern Connecticut and across the nation made one thing clear: the American people are tired of Trump’s broken promises, particularly his failure to address the rising cost of living.
Donald Trump is underwater in poll after poll. His policies are failing, his administration reaches new levels of incompetence every week, and the economy is sputtering as his allies in Congress find new ways to hurt the middle class and working people. This week, voters delivered a forceful rejection of MAGA by electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
Here in eastern Connecticut, voters flipped control of town halls in the largest communities like Enfield and Norwich, as well as small towns such as Salem, Brooklyn and Ellington. Democrats gained seats on boards and commissions throughout our state, and held control in Groton, Coventry, and Old Lyme in tough races.
It’s nothing short of a historic result in every corner of Connecticut, and I’m so proud of the Democrats who met this moment by emphasizing democracy, transparency, and affordability. When we have the resources to communicate clearly with voters, we can win.
I’m honored to have you on my team as we work together to take our region to a higher and better place. In 2026, we’re going to defeat Trump’s MAGA candidates, end Republican control of Congress, and show this out-of-control president that our nation doesn’t tolerate kings.
