John,

Last week, two federal judges ruled that the Trump administration violated the law by trying to cut off SNAP benefits for more than 40 million Americans, including 900,000 Arizonans.

We won that case. The court ordered Trump to continue the benefits.

Then on Tuesday, Trump threatened to defy the court order entirely.

Tired of the rigmarole? Please support my re-election campaign.

In case you missed it, Trump posted on Truth Social that SNAP benefits "will be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up the government, which they can easily do, and not before!" He's literally threatening to use hungry families – working families, seniors, veterans, and children – as hostages in his shutdown fight.

Hours later, the White House walked it back. The press secretary said they're "fully complying" with the court and would provide partial payments in November.

Partial payments. Not full benefits. And families might have to wait weeks or months to get even that.

This is chaos. Trump doesn't follow the Constitution. He does whatever he wants, including threatening to ignore a federal court order to starve 42 million Americans until he gets his way.

The Trump administration chose to provide only partial SNAP payments using emergency reserve funds, even though they have ample funds available to provide full benefits. So families will get about half as much in nutrition assistance this month – if they get anything at all.

We will continue to fight to force Trump to restore full benefit amounts and pay the money quickly.

900,000 Arizonans depend on SNAP to put food on their tables. They shouldn't have to wonder whether their president is going to defy a court order and cut off their ability to feed their kids.

Can you chip in today to help me keep fighting Trump's illegal attempts to hurt Arizona families?

As one representative said today: "The president is not a king. He is not free to disregard the rule of law whenever it becomes politically inconvenient for him."

I won't let Trump use Arizona families as bargaining chips.

Thanks for having my back,

-Kris
