Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the billionaires around them wanted us to accept getting COVID-19 as the cost of doing business when the virus first hit. Now, millions are sick, out of work, and losing their homes.

Meanwhile, the Senate is on a two-week vacation–sitting on the sidelines, watching it happen.

This week, People’s Action members are pulling together for a week of action, and we need your help to kick it off. Tell your Senators we need relief NOW–pass a People’s Bailout!

Tell the Senate that We Need Relief NOW!

Since super-wealthy people like Goldman Sachs’ Lloyd Blankfein and Gary Cohn first urged Trump and McConnell to send people back to work during the pandemic, the billionaires in this country increased their wealth by more than half a trillion dollars.

Here’s what that cost us:

Three million people infected in the U.S.–at least–with Black and Latinx people getting sick at disproportionate rates. Now over 50,000 new infections every day. Almost 135,000 killed.

Forty-seven million people unemployed, again with Black and Latinx people taking the worst hit. Tens of millions losing health insurance. Millions unable to pay their rent and now facing eviction.

Poor and working-class people should not suffer due to the greed of powerful interests and supercharged systemic racism during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We need our Senators to do their job NOW and pass a People’s Bailout that guarantees people’s health care, keeps us in their homes, protects them from economic devastation.

Add your voice and demand that the Senate pass a People’s Bailout that puts people over wealthy special interests. They won’t act unless we make them.
