Tuesday’s results were a major victory for democracy – Prop 50 passed!
That means new, fairer Congressional maps in California. It also means the political landscape here in San Diego is shifting fast. Early analyses show Scott’s district will become more competitive – and national Republicans are already eyeing it as a pickup opportunity.
So today, our campaign is pivoting immediately. We’re updating our outreach plans, refocusing on new precincts, and training volunteers to connect with voters across every corner of the redrawn 50th District.
Scott’s message of progress – protecting reproductive freedom, investing in clean energy, and lowering costs for working families – resonates here. But to reach new voters, we need resources now.
That’s why we’re setting a rapid-response goal of $15,000 this week to fund our first round of voter contact in the newly drawn district.
Can you chip in right away to help us hit that target and keep Scott’s campaign strong?
Every dollar helps us reach voters who’ve never been part of this district before. Let’s show the GOP that San Diego’s values can’t be erased by redistricting lines.
