Email from Counter Extremism Project (CEP) Counter Extremism Project Congratulates Dan Snow and History Hit on Their Lovie Award Win for The Auschwitz House, filmed at CEP’s ARCHER at House 88 (New York, N.Y.) — The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) congratulates Dan Snow and the team at History Hit on winning the Lovie Award for Best Podcast for The Auschwitz House, a powerful and moving documentary produced with the support of CEP and its ARCHER at House 88 initiative. Filmed at House 88—the former residence of Auschwitz Commandant Rudolf Höss—the podcast offers a deeply unsettling glimpse into the home where Höss’s family lived an ordinary life, while Höss developed and managed one of history’s greatest atrocities. Through exclusive access provided by ARCHER at House 88, Snow explores the chilling evidence of the atrocities that unfolded just beyond the garden wall, illuminating how domestic life coexisted with unimaginable evil. Ambassador Mark D. Wallace, CEO of the Counter Extremism Project, said: “We are immensely proud to have supported The Auschwitz House and congratulate Dan Snow and the History Hit team on this well-deserved recognition. Understanding Höss and how he lived an ordinary, if not luxurious, family life at House 88 is essential in confronting the persistence of extremism, terrorism and antisemitism in our own time.” The Auschwitz House was recorded on the opening day of House 88 on January 27, 2025—the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. ARCHER at House 88 is transforming the former Höss residence into a place of remembrance, reflection, and education against antisemitism, terrorism and extremism.
